Description
UK Investment Transitions LeadThe UK Investment Transitions Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing the transition of investment portfolios both during the onboarding of clients and in the execution of client portfolio strategy changes.
This role is crucial in ensuring that the transfer of assets is executed efficiently, cost-effectively, and with minimal risk.

Aon must ensure those in senior roles, with the potential to cause significant harm to customers and the business of the firm, are deemed to be fit and proper at all times and also to ensure everyone working in the sector adheres to a set of Conduct Rules and are held to account where they do not meet the right standards of behaviour.
What the day will look like
- Project Management: Lead and manage the transition of investment portfolios, ensuring that all activities are completed on time and within budget.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the transition process to ensure minimal impact on portfolio performance.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, custodians, fund managers, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates and reports on the transition process.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze and manage the costs associated with transitions, including trading costs, taxes, and other expenses, to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Compliance and Regulation: Ensure that all transition activities comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analysis tools to monitor and evaluate the performance of the transition process, making adjustments as necessary.
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement transition strategies that align with the client's investment objectives and risk tolerance.
- Process Improvement: Review and refine the transition process and controls on an ongoing basis to continually reduce the risk of E&Os.
- Proven experience managing complex investment portfolio transitions across multiple asset classes.
- Strong understanding of investment operations, trading mechanics, and custody arrangements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to clients and colleagues.
- Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to investment transitions.
- Analytical mindset with experience in cost modelling, performance attribution, and transition impact analysis.
- Proficiency in data tools and systems used in investment operations.
- Experience working with fund managers, custodians, and third-party transition managers.
- Ability to assess and mitigate operational and market risks during transition events and having a risk averse mindset to delivery.
- Track record of delivering process improvements and enhancing operational controls.
- Strong client relationship management skills, with a focus on responsiveness and transparency.
- Familiarity with tax considerations and implications of asset transfers across jurisdictions.
- Experience in drafting and reviewing transition documentation, including implementation plans and client reports.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative approach with a commitment to knowledge sharing and continuous learning for wider transition specialists.

- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- +12 years industry or relevant investment related experience
- +7 years transition experience
