This is a unique opportunity to shape and grow a high-performing team within a respected insurance broker known for its integrity, client-first ethos, and bespoke service to high-net-worth individuals.
We're looking for someone with deep expertise in the HNW insurance market, a proven track record in business development, and the gravitas to lead strategic client relationships. You'll be instrumental in evolving our private client proposition, driving growth, and ensuring our service reflects the high standards and discretion our clients expect.

What the day will look like
Leadership & Team Development
Lead and inspire the Private Client team in Liverpool, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Oversee performance management, succession planning, and talent development aligned with our values.
Client Relationship Management
Act as the senior point of contact for our most valued HNW clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and strategic oversight.
Handle complex client needs and escalations with discretion and professionalism.
Business Development
Expand our Private Client portfolio through personal networks, introducers (e.g., wealth managers, solicitors), and targeted initiatives.
Represent Griffiths & Armour at relevant industry and client events, enhancing visibility and reputation.
Service Proposition & Innovation
Refine and evolve our bespoke insurance offering for HNW individuals, including cover for fine homes, art, jewellery, and collectibles.
Ensure our proposition remains competitive, compliant, and tailored to the unique risks of affluent lifestyles.
Technical & Strategic Oversight
Provide expert guidance on complex risks and non-standard cover, ensuring suitability and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., claims, compliance, marketing) to deliver a seamless client experience.
Insurer & Market Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with specialist insurers and underwriters.
Negotiate terms and placements that reflect our clients' expectations and risk profiles.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
Extensive experience in the HNW insurance sector, ideally within a broking environment.
Proven leadership capabilities, with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with discerning clients.
Commercially astute, with strategic thinking and a history of driving growth and innovation.
Strong technical knowledge of HNW insurance products, including complex and non-standard risks.
Familiarity with systems such as Acturis and a working knowledge of property, fine art, jewellery, and lifestyle-related insurances.
CII qualifications or equivalent are advantageous.
Experience working within a chartered broker or independent advisory firm is highly valued.
