Description
Social Media Designer/Content CreatorLocation - London or Winchester, with hybrid working available. In-office time will be in line with departmental requirements and is currently a minimum of 2 days per week (40%). Please note that, during certain periods of the year, you may be required to work from the office more than 40% of the time to support content filming for campaigns or key events such as annual conferences.
LCP is an award-winning actuarial and analytics consultancy providing market-leading capabilities and advice across pensions and financial services, energy, health and analytics. We use powerful analytics, fused with human expertise, to shape a more positive future.
We have an opportunity for a Social Media Designer/Content Creator to join our Business Development Team. We're looking for a creative storyteller with a flair for producing visual B2B content - someone who can turn complex topics into punchy content that cuts through the noise on our key platforms: LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram. You'll join a 40-strong, commercially minded marketing team and play a hands-on role in raising our profile, building interest in the right places, and sparking conversations with our key audiences.
You'll work with our Content Marketing Manager to design and create eye-catching digital and social content that brings our brand to life and responds to fast-moving social trends. From carousels and engaging infographics to short-form animations and video, you'll help tell stories that engage clients, prospects and future recruits. It's a hands-on role where creativity, curiosity and a practical, can-do approach can make a real impact.
What will you be doing?
As a Social Media Designer/Content Creator, you will be:
- Creating engaging, timely multimedia content tailored to B2B audiences across external and, potentially, internal platforms, aligned with LCP's brand tone, audience interests and business goals
- Repurposing long-form thought leadership content and brand campaigns into accessible, shareable formats for use across digital and social media channels
- Contributing to content planning and scheduling to maintain a consistent flow of high-quality posts and campaigns
- Shooting, editing and delivering quick-turnaround, short-form video in multiple formats (this may require additional time in the office or on location at certain times of the year)
- Designing and sharing social media templates for the wider team using Adobe Express and similar tools
- Supporting the production and amplification of our podcast suite (with an external production partner), helping to maximise reach and impact
- Collaborating with marketing, design, PR and communications, HR and recruitment colleagues to ensure message and brand consistency
- Working with internal experts and influencers to turn technical topics into compelling stories, and helping to build their confidence as content creators and/or spokespeople
- Assisting with the day-to-day management of social channels, including posting, monitoring engagement and responding to comments where appropriate
- Following internal review and approval processes to ensure content complies with brand, legal and regulatory standards
- Tracking and reporting on content performance, using data to improve output and engagement
- Seeking out new ideas, tools and approaches to strengthen our content and continue developing your own skills
- Ensuring all content is accurate, on-brand and delivered to deadline
What skills and experience are we looking for?
Essential
- Strong experience in creating and editing short-form video content
- Experience designing customisable templates for social media assets
- Familiarity with Adobe Express, Canva, Premiere Pro, CapCut and related tools
- Understanding of B2B audiences and how to engage them
- Proven ability to plan and deliver content that drives reach and engagement
- Comfortable working on site and collaborating as part of a fast-paced team
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to proof, polish and refine content
Desirable
- Confident writer and editor with an ear for tone and clarity
- Experience with LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and similar platforms
- Experience amplifying podcasts or events content
- Experience of working with subject matter experts or within professional services firms
- Basic analytics or reporting knowledge
What success could look like
You'll help us:
- Increase reach and engagement across priority platforms and audiences
- Create bold, relevant, insight-led content that sparks meaningful conversation
- Build visibility for our people and brand through social storytelling
- Repurpose and amplify existing content more effectively
- Raise the quality, consistency and pace of our content output
The kind of person who is likely to thrive in this role
You don't need a specific background - agency, in-house, journalism, digital, creative - we're open-minded. What matters is that you're:
- Curious and proactive
- Able to balance creativity with delivery
- Comfortable suggesting and testing original ideas
- Collaborative and confident when working face to face with stakeholders at all levels
- Able to work in a structured way when needed, while staying focused on progress rather than perfection

As part of your application, please include a portfolio of recent work. We would be particularly interested in seeing a broad range of formats and assets you have designed.
